Your trip to the veterinarian is almost as educational for you as it is checking out your pet. Besides your many questions and concerns that you may bring with you to the exam room, please bring any relevant health information you have, such as records of vaccinations and deworming. While answering your questions, your veterinarian will likely do the following:
The Clinton Veterinary Hospital advises that all animals undergo an annual health check. This is often carried out at the time of the annual vaccination, although pets who don’t need vaccinations done yet still need to have check-ups to enable early detection of diseases.
During the annual health check, our vets will examine:
Vaccines are products designed to trigger protective immune responses and prepare the immune system to fight future infections from disease-causing agents. Vaccines stimulate the immune system's production of antibodies that identify and destroy disease-causing organisms that enter the body.

I have been here at CVH for two years now, studied at Ohio State University and completed a Veterinary Science course through MVCTC. I have a deep love of animals that started when I was younger and firsthand witnessed my pug break his femur as a puppy. From then I have wanted to provide that same love and compassion to as many animals I can. At home I am a mother and have two dogs, we would have more if my fiance would allow!
Hi! It's really nice to meet you all! I am a veterinarian assistant and have been in this field for 4 years and still counting. March 5, 2020 marked the day I have been employed here for 2 years, and also still counting. I am currently in school now to receive my license to be a certified Vet Tech, and very happy to say that it will be complete very soon. I currently own two four-legged furry children at the age of 20 months old, named Shadow and Autumn. They are both cats and I have had them since they were 7 month old kittens. The hospital knows me as "The Cat Lady" due to my love for cats, even though I have a general love for ALL animals.
It’s a big question, with a simple answer: we’re veterinarian who care. Our philosophy has always been to show animals the care, respect, and compassion that they deserve. Every aspect of our practice speaks to their needs, from the decor to the special way we interact with each pet as an individual.
We are first and foremost a team of animal lovers, who happen to also possess extraordinary skills in veterinary medicine. As a hospital accredited by the American Animal Hospital Association, we demonstrate our commitment and passion for the highest standards of veterinary medicine.

We all focus on returning your special family members to good health, and we thank you for the trust you have placed in us
I've never had better vets. They do a great job of explaining everything to me and educating me. Their holistic approach has kept my 17yo cat feeling well and comfortable in his last 6 months and I couldn't be more grateful! Google Review 9/27/19
We have been taking our dogs and cat here for about 4 years now. They are always treated well, respectfully and with a caring attitude, and so are we. Dr. Debretsion is a wonderful person and genuinely care for our family. From the moment a vet tech greets us to when we complete the visit, it is always a positive experience. Google Review 9/17/19
I liked that the veterinarian took the time to listen and ask questions, and give my pet medicine according to my experience in administering it. Such a simple thing and yet so few take the time these days. It's "one size fits all" to detriment of the animals. Not at Dr. Debretsion's practice! Google Review 9/13/19
